Assignment 2 - Part 2: Self-Portrait

Andrew Woschitz For my self-portrait photos, I included at least one motion technique learned in the first part of the assignment. All the stop motion pictures taken had a shutter speed set to 1/250 seconds. The rest of the pictures were blurred motion, one of which was set to 1/4 seconds and the second was set to 10 seconds. The blurred motion self-portrait with a shutter speed of 10 seconds could also be considered to be a long exposure. In all of these pictures, I used a tripod with a phone mount, as well as the timer in order to give myself time to get in the picture. Although the pictures with a 5 second and 15 second shutter speed could also be considered to have a long exposure, I think they fit the blurred motion theme better. Furthermore, I had to use a tripod for the last two photos in order to avoid blurring the background. Blurred Motion (1/15s) Blurred Motion (15s) Blurred Motion (5s) Panning Out of all the techniques learned in this assignment, this one was the hardest to put into practice. I tried my best to keep the subject in focus while still blurring the background, as seen in the pictures....
